Wabi-sabi represents a comprehensive Japanese world aesthetic centred on acceptance of transience and imperfection.
Characteristics of the Wabi-sabi aesthetic are sometimes described as one of beauty that is “imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete” It can also refer to quirks and anomalies arising from the process of construction, which add uniqueness and elegance to the object.
Wabi-sabi can change our perception of the world and provide a means whereby we can learn to live life through the senses and better engage in life as it happens, rather than be caught up in unnecessary thoughts.
My ‘Blushing Berry Pots’ embrace this Wabi- Sabi aesthetic………..
